Practice Areas

After more than three decades as partner of an Italian leading Law Firm, in early 2024 Matteo joined EY with his team to contribute to the growing EY employment law department in Rome.

Matteo assists Italian and international companies in employment matters, including litigations and industrial relations. He advises on trade unions negotiations, transfer of undertakings, collective dismissals, agency agreements, settlement, and special agreements with managers. He is focused on legal strategy and evaluation of litigation risks.

Thanks to the last two years’ experience at EY, Matteo has also developed a different and wider approach with clients’ problems, providing solutions in synergy with other service lines of EY, and significantly improving his problem-solving attitude.

Career

Matteo graduated “cum laude” from Rome University in 1980.

He later studied Advanced English Business Law at the City of London Polytechnic Summer Law School in 1989.

Professional Memberships

He is a member of the Italian Bar Association, also qualified before the Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione).

Matteo has been CEO of the Italian Employment Lawyers Association (Associazione Giuslavoristi Italian – AGI), and as of today he holds the position of Chairman of its Probiviri Committee.

AGI also assigned Matteo the role of Chairman of Gnosis Forense - an organization managing the Italian specialization schools for lawyers.
