Massimo assists Italian and foreign clients in handling civil, commercial, corporate, banking and insurance litigation, both before ordinary courts and in arbitration proceedings, as well as in drafting and conclusion of contracts. Massimo has gained significant experience in arbitrary proceedings and is regularly appointed in ad hoc and administered arbitrations. He appears on the list of arbitrators of the Arbitration Chamber for Public Contracts at ANAC and the Arbitration and Conciliation Chamber of Cooperation. Upon appointment by the Bank of Italy, he was a member of the Arbitro Bancario Finanziario (ABF), College of Rome (2019-2024). He is a legal expert supporting the functions assigned to the Minister for Sport and Youth (since 2023).
Massimo Proto joined the Firm as of Counsel in 2020 and became a Partner in 2024. Since the same year he has been Head of the “Commercial Litigation” Practice Area.
