Mark Crean

Career

Mark Crean leads the Firm's Australian M&A and Transactions team. With more than 25 years’ experience in private and public M&A, restructurings, and private equity, Mark is highly accomplished at helping clients navigate complex transactions and find solutions to difficult issues. Mark was previously Head of Corporate and Chair of one of Australia’s leading firms, in which role he was instrumental in negotiating its merger with a major international firm. Mark also spent time as Group General Counsel of ASX Top 50 property and investment group, Lend Lease. He is recognized as driving solutions and cutting through complex issues – to cite the CEO of one client: “in the heat of battle, Mark’s ability to distil and communicate the key points and create a consensus around the table exceeds any other lawyer I have worked with.“ Mark is a member of the Corporations Committee and the Foreign Investment Committee of the Law Council of Australia.
