Mark Conlan brings extensive experience in complex insolvency matters and commercial litigation to Connell Foley. He represents a broad range of fiduciaries in bankruptcy proceedings, including creditors, debtors-in-possession, creditors' committees and trustees across all phases of bankruptcy cases, litigation, and debtor-creditor disputes. Mark's insolvency practice encompasses sophisticated fraudulent conveyance and preference litigation, where he has successfully recovered significant assets for clients.
In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Mark maintains a specialized focus on New Jersey liquor license transactions and regulatory compliance. He guides buyers, sellers and license holders through New Jersey's comprehensive alcoholic beverage regulatory framework, which spans statutory, administrative and municipal requirements. His liquor license practice includes securing new license issuances, facilitating transfers and sales, managing renewals, and defending clients in ABC enforcement proceedings.
Mark currently serves as a federal equity receiver in a Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement action in the District of Colorado, demonstrating his ability to handle high-stakes fiduciary appointments. He is an active member of the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers and serves as Vice-Chair of the Supreme Court's District Ethics Committee for Essex County, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and ethical leadership in the legal community.
