Mark Anderson specialises in commercial transactions, particularly those involving intellectual property issues. He has worked in this field for over 30 years, and his clients include UK and overseas companies, universities, charities, and individual inventors.
Mark also helps overseas law firms whose client have UK and EU legal issues.
Career
Mark Anderson is a solicitor and Managing Partner of Anderson Law.
His leadership roles in the IP field include:
Advising: Building and leading a law firm over the last 25 years; this 5-partner firm is now one of the leading transactional IP practices in the UK.
Networking: Chairing BioLaw Europe, a Danish-incorporated association of life-science lawyers across Europe.
Policy: Chairing the IP Law Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales for 3 years, including securing primary UK legislation on IP threats.
Teaching: Creating and convening (with approximately 30 speakers) an annual, 5-day course at UCL on IP transactions, now in its 10th year.
Training and mentoring: Being responsible (with others) for the training of eleven IP lawyers, 3 of whom are now his partners, and mentoring them and others.
In recent years he has developed an interest in facilitating the negotiation of agreements and the resolution of commercial disputes; he has been instructed several times in such roles.
Publications
