Overview

Our credentials: We have many years' experience of advising UK and overseas clients in the life-science sector, including biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, R&D service providers, universities, hospitals and charities. Our team is led by Mark Anderson, who is former Chairman of the IP Law Committee of the Law Society of England & Wales, Chairman of BioLaw Europe FmbA, non-executive director of OBN (UK) Limited, and former Secretary of the IP Committee of the UK BioIndustry Association.

Our services: The core of our work is drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial agreements, particularly those where IP issues are important, including R&D collaborations, clinical trial agreements, IP assignment and licensing, technical services agreements, and contracts for the promotion, marketing, sale and distribution of technical products and services.

Why use us: We have in-depth knowledge of the life-science sector. We have seen the complete life cycle of biotech companies, from start-up, through rounds of financing, listing on stock exchanges to eventual sale. We have seen both sides of many transactions, through working with sponsors and research organisations, and are used to negotiating international transactions. We provide a credible alternative to the major London firms for the range of work that we do. In all our work, we place a strong emphasis on high technical and service standards. We are cost-effective and like to work as part of our client's team.
