María Jesús Ithurria

María Jesús joined Fleischmann & Román as an Associate in April 2025.

She focuses on advising clients in complex, high-value disputes across various industries.

She read Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2017) and was awarded a PhD in Law at the University of Edinburgh (2024). She went on to pursue postdoctoral studies at Queen Mary University of London, working with Professor Christina Perry on the research project that culminated in the book titled “Good Faith in Contract Law”, published by Edward Elgar Publishing (2024).

María Jesús has also experience in financial regulation and corporate finance. Before joining Fleischmann & Román, she worked as a Legal Analyst at a global consulting firm in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and as an Associate at an international law firm in Santiago, Chile.

María Jesús is a Lecturer in Private Law (Derecho Civil) at the Universidad de los Andes, and her research in this field has been published in both Chile and the UK.
