Margherita Banfi

Margherita has been advising on intellectual property law for more than 15 years.

She advises on commercial IP matters and IP disputes. She has particular expertise in trademark, domain name, patent and commercial secret protection, advertising and unfair competition, with a particular focus on the field of fashion, luxury and design. She has a broad experience in advising on all aspects of exploitation of IP rights, with the drafting of opinions as well as negotiations and drafting of IP-related agreements, such as licenses, coexistence and assignments of IP rights and sponsorship as well as in the management of IP due diligence and verification, including related agreements, in support of M&A operations.

On the disputes side, Margherita deals with Italian proceedings and coordinates the defence strategy of proceedings abroad in cooperation with local correspondents.
