Marcelo den Toom is the partner in charge of the Competition/Antitrust and Foreign Trade departments and he is a member of the Corporate department.
Career
His practice concentrates on the defense of merger transactions, acquisitions and joint ventures before the competition authorities, investigations into anti-competitive and anti-dumping practices, compliance, anticorruption rules, drafting and negotiating corporate acquisition contracts and related documents and advice on corporate and contractual matters.
Between 1998 and 1999, he worked as a foreign associate for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom (New York) and Haynes & Boone (Houston). In 2000, he was admitted to the Bar of the state of New York.
As a specialist in competition law, he has frequently been recognized by publications such as Chambers, Legal500, Best Lawyers, Practical Law Company, Guide to the World's Leading Competition and Antitrust Lawyers, International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers and Economists and Latin Lawyer.

Co-Chair of the International Antitrust Committee of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association (2014-2015).
Former President and Vice-president of the Competition Commission of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires.
