Marcela is dedicated to litigation before state courts and national and international arbitration, having vast experience with the resolution of corporate disputes.

Career

A partner at Mannheimer, Perez e Lyra Advogados since late 2016, Marcela joined the firm as an intern in 2005, and is currently based in the São Paulo office. Marcela holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and an LLM from Columbia University, having been recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, due to superior academic achievement. After graduating from Columbia and successfully passing the NY Bar exam in 2012, Marcela worked for two years in New York at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, with the firm’s litigation practice.

Professional Memberships

Marcela is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, the ICC Brazil Arbitration and Mediation Commission and the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), as well as of the Committee on Arbitration of the Center for Studies for Attorney Partnerships (CESA). She is also on the list of arbitrators of CAMARB - Câmara de Mediação e Arbitragem - Brasil, one of the main arbitral institutions in the country.
