M. Alexander (Alec) Koch

Alec Koch is a co-leader of the Securities Enforcement and Regulation practice and a former Assistant Director with the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement. He represents public companies, financial institutions, boards of directors, and individuals in securities enforcement and anti-corruption investigations before the SEC, DOJ, PCAOB, and other regulatory authorities.

Alec also regularly conducts internal investigations on behalf of companies and board committees, often involving multiple jurisdictions, and advises clients on regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues.

Mr. Koch serves on the board of directors of Legal Aid D.C. and the Ethics Research Center, a non-profit organization that works to assist public companies and other institutions with building strong ethics and compliance programs.
