Working for more than 20 years in the sports and entertainment area, Ferreira was one of the pioneers in the development of legal advisory work aimed at clubs, athletes and sponsors/suppliers, in Brazil and abroad, gaining prominence not only for having participated in major transfers of players, but also due to its ability to establish connections and advise on projects involving athletes, clubs, sports administration entities and sponsors.

Luiz Otavio stands out for advising important agents in the international transfer market, soccer clubs in Brazil and abroad, regarding the restructuring of their activities and creation of governance plans and contract negotiation, as well as for having worked on the idealization, structuring and execution of sports and entertainment marketing projects. He was the founder of the Brazilian Institute of Sports Law, currently one of the largest entities in Latin America in the field of Sports Law.
