Career

Luis joined the firm in 1990 and became partner in 1998. He was the resident lawyer in the firm’s Aruba and BVI offices.

Senior partner, Luis R. López Alfaro is co-head of the Capital Markets and Securities Regulation department and of Alfaro, Ferrer & Ramirez (BVI) Limited, our trust company in the British Virgin Islands that was founded in 1992. Also, co-head in other practice areas at the Firm.

Experienced on compliance matters, advises on all aspects of corporate law, particularly clients in banking, insurance and financial sector. Renown for expertise regarding trusts and foundation practice.

Legal counsel for the board of directors of local financial institutions such as Global Bank Corporation, Banco Aliado, Credicorp Bank, Grupo Arrocha.
