Luc Deshaies Ad. E.

Luc Deshaies is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, practising in the areas of employment and labour law.

He has, among other activities, acted for employers in collective and individual labour relations and occasionally for managers in dismissal matters.

Throughout his practice, Luc has acted before all judicial and administrative tribunals interested in labour matters in the province of Québec.

Over the years, he has advised employers whose main activities are based in Québec, but also in Canada and abroad, as part of mergers or transfer matters.

Luc practises law in English and French.

Luc was the Bâtonnier (President) of the Bar of Montreal in 2013 and he has sat on the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, the General Committee, the CARPA Committee, as well as the Information Technology Committee of the Québec Bar. He currently sits on the Committee France-Québec of the Québec Bar. He is also an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and of the American Bar Association (ABA).
