Lindsay is a partner in the Freshfields London Restructuring and Insolvency team. She advises across the full spectrum of stakeholders and processes on the most complex domestic and cross-border restructuring matters. Non-confidential deals include acting for a group of lenders in relation to the restructuring of European bike manufacturer Accell, the restructuring expert in McDermott’s WHOA proceedings, a creditor group to Kemble (parent of Thames Water) on its financial difficulties, Bulb Energy on its response to the energy crisis and its parent Simple Energy in administration, and Debenhams on all aspects of its restructuring and administration.

Career

After training at Freshfields, Lindsay qualified in 2012 and became a partner in 2020. Lindsay is based in London and during her time at Freshfields has been seconded to work as a banking associate in their Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey. She was included in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 for 2021, and GRR’s 40 under 40, and she is currently the Vice President of the ILA Council.

Publications

Lindsay has published extensively on topics including company voluntary arrangements, corporate governance, schemes of arrangement and airline rescues. She also co-hosts the Freshfields restructuring podcast “No Worse Off”.
