Lachlan Clancy

Career

Lachlan is a Partner based in our Tokyo office. He works in our Projects, Energy and Mining team in Japan and has over 15 years of experience advising on energy projects and transactions in more than 45 countries across six continents, many of which are ‘first of their kind’, precedent-setting, or high-stakes transactions. He has worked in Asia for more than 10 years and has been based in Tokyo since early 2022.

Lachlan is an energy sector advisor with experience across the entire energy value chain. He has advised on projects and transactions including upstream oil and gas, LNG, refining and petrochemical, power, hydrogen and ammonia production and other decarbonisation initiatives.

Lachlan is licensed to advise in Japan as a Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi and is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and to the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia.
