Lachlan Clancy

Lachlan is a partner based in our Tokyo office. Lachlan works in our Projects, Energy and Mining team in Japan and has over 15 years of experience advising on energy projects and transactions. He has worked in Asia for more than 10 years and has been based in Tokyo since early 2022. Lachlan is an energy sector advisor. He has advised on projects and transaction across the entire energy sector, including upstream oil and gas projects, LNG projects, refining and petrochemical projects, power projects, hydrogen and ammonia production projects and other decarbonisation projects. Many of his matters are 'first' of their kind, precedent setting, or high-stakes transactions. Lachlan is licensed to advise in Japan as a Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi, and is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia.
