Kyum Lee

Partner focusing on complex commercial, mergers and acquisitions, securities, bankruptcy and antitrust disputes. He also handles arbitration and white-collar criminal matters. He represents clients in diverse industries, including banks and financial institutions, media companies and industrial firms.

He has extensive experience of French pre-action discovery measures (article 145 of the French Civil Procedure Code).

Kyum joined BDGS Associés as partner in 2018 from Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Former “Secrétaire de la Conférence” (the Paris Bar’s renowned moot court contest). Co-author of the French contract law textbook Lamy Droit du Contrat directed by Prof. Bertrand Fages (Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne). Recent publications include “Pre-action discovery measures: request founded on article 145 of the French Civil Procedure Code and interruption of the prescription for the substantive claim”, JCP E 2021, 1195 (with Florian Dessault) and “Pre-action discovery measures: territorial competence to receive a request based on article 145 of the French Civil Procedure Code”, RLDC 2021 6887.
