Acts for employers throughout the North and North East of Scotland. Has over 25 years experience of representing employers at Employment Tribunals. He also advises on the many challenges arising from the work place including the handling of disciplinary and grievance hearings, equal opportunities, contracts of employment and TUPE.
Service to clients focuses on being accessible, including by email and mobile phone, and providing prompt and pragmatic advice.
Also provides innovative training for employers and is a regular speaker at Employment Law events, including at seminars run by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Member of the Law Society of Scotland and is accredited by the Society as a Specialist in Employment Law.
Qualified in 1990. After working in Glasgow joined Ledingham Chalmers in Inverness in 1997 based in Inverness. Partner since 1999. Heads the Ledingham Chalmers' Employment Team.
Director of social enterprise Companies ILM (current Chair) and North Highland Radio and a former Chair of Highland Hospice. He is also a lover of vinyl records and supporter of Kilmarnock Football Club albeit from a safe distance.
