Practice Areas

Kiran has acted for a range of individuals advising on all aspects of employment law and contract. Kiran has particular expertise in equality cases and in advising whistleblowers.

She also has substantial appeal experience, having represented individuals with employment cases in the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and the CJEU. Most recently, Kiran has been advising on multiple party equality claims including acting for over 13,500 police officers in relation to their discrimination claims following pension changes. Kiran is also representing supermarket workers in their equal pay claims against Tesco.

Kiran has appeared before the Women and Equalities Select Committee to give evidence on the use of confidentiality clauses in discrimination and harassment cases. She is a regular speaker at employment law conferences.

Kiran advises the charity, Rights of Women, in relation to their policy and advisory work helping women experiencing sexual harassment at work.

Career

Kiran has been an employment lawyer since September 2003. She joined Russell Jones and Walker in 2006 before joining Leigh Day as a partner in July 2016.
