As a partner in our Helsinki office and head of our Competition & EU Law group in Finland, Katia specialises in complex competition and corporate matters.
Over the years, Katia has worked on a number of cutting-edge competition law and public procurement cases for prestigious clients, both nationally and internationally. She also has extensive experience in advising on commercial and corporate M&A transactions, and in litigation proceedings relating to competition law and public procurement matters.
She is very business oriented and thinks it is essential in competition law and public procurement matters. In order to define whether a conduct is in compliance with competition laws, one has to understand the dynamics of the relevant market.
Competition law and public procurement are both fairly new legal doctrines in which she has had the pleasure to work in from the beginning. Seeing the evolvement of these two legal areas during her career has really deepened her expertise.
Katia was Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Association for Competition law from 2012 to 2014, and have been a board member since 2006. Alongside my native Finnish, she speaks English and French.
