Kathy Reid

Kathy has over 30 years' experience as a legal practitioner and over 20 years' experience acting for WA's largest employers in relation to their workforce management issues. She is well known for her prompt and pragmatic advice and her IR strategies. Kathy also leads the WA government sector group.

Kathy has considerable experience managing day-to-day workforce issues as well as major employment and industrial litigation. She takes a strategic approach to working with clients and is known for providing prompt and pragmatic advice. As an experienced non-executive director, she also has hands-on experience managing stakeholders in complex legal scenarios.

Kathy's specialities encompass advising on the implementation of workforce change, guiding clients through enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes, and representing employers in workplace relations tribunals and courts. She's adept at assisting employers with daily workplace relations issues, including managing employee misconduct and poor performance, as well as defending against discrimination claims. Her expertise also extends to dealing with workplace safety issues, including defending safety prosecutions, and providing advice on corporate governance matters such as executive remuneration and termination benefits.
