Practice Areas

Kathryn’s practice includes all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts, multi-district litigation, and administrative law practice before regulatory agencies, with a particular focus on professional licensing. Kathryn has handled professional licensing cases before the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, Louisiana State Board of Dentistry, Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board, Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board, and the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana.

Career

Kathryn represented MDL Claims Administrators in litigation matters at all levels of district court and on appeal and advised on responding to non-party discovery. Kathryn has represented respondents at various stages of the attorney and judicial discipline process, including briefing to the Louisiana Supreme Court, negotiating consent discipline, and at hearings.

Kathryn has represented LLC members in civil proceedings impacting their business interest including succession, employment, and property transfer disputes, and Kathryn has successfully argued exceptions in State court multiple times. Kathryn also assisted in representing a timber company in Endangered Species Act litigation in federal court from district court, to the Fifth Circuit, to the United States Supreme Court.
