Kate Elliott

Kate regularly advises clients in relation to complex financial matters involving business assets, inherited wealth, trust assets and pension funds. Kate also has experience in drafting and negotiating pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. She also has considerable experience in international cases with multi-jurisdictional issues.

Kate also regularly advises in cases involving children matters including parental arrangements, parental responsibility, schooling, matters in which there are safeguarding issues and internal and external relocation.

Kate encourages, wherever possible, negotiated and agreed solutions that focus on minimising conflict and consider the needs of the whole family, in particular, the best interests of children. Kate focuses on the strategic issues in each case to help parties find workable long term solutions that help them to move forward with their lives.

City trained and having worked exclusively in specialist family law practices, including two top tier family law firms, Kate has built an excellent reputation as a highly respected family lawyer. She is a Group Director and Head of our Horsham team.

Kate is a member of Resolution and a Resolution Accredited Specialist (Complex Financial Remedies and Private Law Children). She is an accredited Mediator with the Law Society.

As a member of Resolution Kate is focused on dealing with cases in accordance with their Code of Practice by advocating a constructive, non-confrontational resolution of family disputes. She was previously a member of the Young Resolution London Committee.

Outside of work Kate enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, village life and skiing when she gets the chance.
