Justine Flockhart

Justine is a partner specialising in intellectual property creation, protection and exploitation. This encompasses advising clients on what IP rights they have and how to protect them, drafting agreements to commercialise such rights and acting on both sides of the fence in IP infringement matters.

Justine has particular expertise in trade marks and heads up Hansel Henson’s trade mark portfolio practice. She is experienced in trade mark filing and portfolio maintenance, management and protection on a national and international level. She is also experienced in drafting and advising on pre-action correspondence, settlement negotiations and acting on litigation in the High Court, IPEC, County Court and the trade mark registry.

Her clients come from a variety of sectors including fashion, media, entertainment and creative industries. Justine is a firm believer that the protection and commercialisation of IP is key to any business, and is passionate about protecting such rights from would be copycats, whilst protecting others from those wrongly asserting rights to stifle competition and innovation. Her knowledge and experience of trade marks gives her the ability to advise brand owners strategically.
