Career
Juan Carlos de los Heros is the managing partner of Estudio Echecopar. He focuses in the practice areas of Banking and Finance, and Projects. He is listed by several publications, including International Who's Who of Professionals, Chambers & Partners Latin America and Legal 500, as a leading lawyer in project finance.
Prior to joining the Firm, Juan Carlos was an international lawyer in the global project finance group of an American law firm.
Juan Carlos has extensive experience in project finance transactions as well as local and international financing, including syndicated loans, project bonds, trusts and secured transactions. He has advised not only financial entities acting as lenders, arrangers agents and investment banks, but also borrowers and sponsors from different industries. He has participated in a number of PPPs and energy projects including providing advice in public tenders, private initiatives and the negotiation of PPP and construction agreements.

Our Firm was recognized with two awards: "Peru Firm of the Year" and "Career Development Latin America," int The Women in Business Law Awards Americas 2022.
Our firm is currently providing advice to IBT Health (the Borrower), Villa María del Triunfo Salud, Callao Salud and other entities of IBT Group in connection with a medium-term loan financing that will be supported by cash flows (RPO) paid to Villa María del Triunfo Salud and Callao Salud.
Ergon Perú (Tozzi Renewable Energy)
We are providing advice to Ergon Perú, a subsidiary of Tozzi Renewable Energy, in connection with the installation and maintenance of autonomous photovoltaic panels in areas not reached by the interconnected electricity network of Peru.
This is the first syndicated 10-year loan obtained by LAMSAC after been acquired by the French company Vinci Highways S.A.S ("Vinci Highways"). This loan was obtained in order to finance the completion of construction works of the "Via Expresa Linea Amarilla" .
We have acted as Peruvian counsel to Citibank, N.A., as Administrative Agent and The Bank of Nova Scotia, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. and other Lenders.
