Joseph L. Beavers

Joe Beavers’ practice is focused on insurance recovery, environmental litigation and corporate counseling and disputes. He co-leads the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

Joe has over two decades of experience as an insurance coverage litigator. He advises clients on, and litigates claims involving, virtually all lines of coverage, including directors and officers (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O), commercial general liability (CGL), property and business interruption, representations and warranties (RWI), cyber and crime. He also advises policyholders on obtaining and managing insurance assets.

In his environmental practice, Joe represents corporate clients in CERCLA and private-party cost recovery litigation. He has extensive trial experience and has negotiated complex settlements and work plans with the U.S. EPA, the U.S. Department of Justice, and multiple state regulatory bodies. He has worked with clients on cases involving a wide variety of contaminants, including PFAS, PCBs, dioxins, and perchlorate. In addition to his law degree, Joe holds a master's degree in Public Management with a specialization in Environmental Policy.
