José Alberto González Quiroga

José Alberto González is a tax controversy partner at KPMG Mexico, based in the Monterrey office, with more than 22 years of experience advising domestic and multinational companies on complex tax disputes, audits, administrative proceedings and controversy matters.

His practice combines preventive tax controversy advice with representation in administrative and judicial proceedings. He also advises clients on tax refund procedures and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including conclusive agreements before PRODECON and negotiations with the Mexican tax authorities.

José Alberto has extensive experience developing and implementing tax defense and controversy strategies tailored to clients’ regulatory and operational environments. He advises companies across a broad range of sectors, including automotive, chemicals, energy, technology, mining, pharmaceuticals, transportation, retail, communications, healthcare and construction.
