Jonathan provides clients in the energy sector business-oriented counsel, distilling nuanced regulatory considerations into pragmatic advice to further clients’ strategies.

With deep experience in the sector, Jonathan provides strategic counsel across the spectrum of industry participants, including electricity generators (renewable, conventional, nuclear and alternative fuels), as well as electricity and gas transmitters and distributors.

He is regularly involved in matters before the Ontario Energy Board, including with respect to rates, licensing, leave to construct and expropriation proceedings. Jonathan also advises clients on energy-related project development, interconnection processes, regulatory and contractual matters, and on energy regulatory considerations in energy M&A and financings.
