Practice Areas
Jonathan is a member of the Business and Property team at Kings Chambers, with a focus on commercial litigation and insolvency work. He has a particular interest in commercial conflict of laws/cross-border cases, and disputes involving novel technologies such as cryptoassets and smart contracts. He maintains a busy High Court and County Court practice, from chambers in Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham.
Career
Jonathan has been a member of Kings Chambers since completing pupillage there in September 2012.
Before coming to the Bar, Jonathan read Modern Languages (French and German) at Trinity College, Oxford. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Law, Bar Vocational Course and LL.B (Hons) at College of Law (Chester and London Bloomsbury).
Since joining Kings Chambers he has practised in all areas of Business and Property law, developing a practice in commercial litigation and insolvency in particular.
In 2022-2023 Jonathan took a year’s sabbatical from practice to undertake an LL.M Master’s Degree in Commercial Law at the University of Birmingham, studying company law, cyberlaw and commercial conflict of laws. Jonathan returned to his practice at Kings Chambers in September 2023.
