Career

Jolien has a broad practice in corporate law, dispute resolution, media (unlawful press publications and privacy) and public interest and class actions litigation. She is a specialist in corporate law issues related to mismanagement and director’s and officer’s liability and contractual disputes. Jolien is frequently commissioned by the Enterprise Chambers of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal as an investigator, binding advisor, director and trustee of shares. She also serves as a deputy judge at the District Court Noord-Holland, handling numerous cases per year. Jolien is known for her in-depth knowledge and broad skills.

Jolien is a teacher civil procedural law in the Dutch Bar Association’s vocational training program for new lawyers. She is an editor for Dutch Fact-based Jurisprudence, member of the Rimari foundation for Enterprise Chambers officials, member of the Association for Corporate Litigation and member of the Association for Media and Communication Law.
