Marijn is an incisive attorney with a varied practise. She works on issues related to intellectual property law (particularly copyright), media law, data privacy, human rights and has a special interest in public interest litigation. Her clients range from collective management organisations to broadcasters and from international entertainment companies to NGO’s. She conducts complex, strategic litigation and has been involved in several national landmark cases.
Marijn is a member of the editorial board of the law journal Auteursrecht ("Copyright"), a member of the Commissie Auteursrecht ("Copyright Committee"'; advisory board to the Ministry of Justice and Security), an active member of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers and a regular speaker at (national and international) conferences. Since 2025, she has been a lead lecturer at the specialist postgraduate Mr. S.K. Martens Academie.
Since 2023, Marijn is a managing partner at Höcker Advocaten.
