John M McIntyre

A seasoned litigator and trial lawyer, John has established an impressive track record of results in a variety of high-stakes litigation matters. From class actions and appeals to financial services litigation, he has successfully resolved some of his clients’ most challenging legal issues in state and federal courts across the country. Among other things, his representation of an international life sciences company in the largest case of its type in US history involved cutting edge legal issues including the use of statistical sampling to resolve claims against the US Government. John also successfully argued on behalf of 19 financial services companies before Maryland’s highest court in a series of putative class actions alleging predatory lending practices. He also has substantial expertise litigating and trying complex breach-of-contract matters, including prevailing in an international patent license dispute. John has also negotiated creative settlements that resolved many complex matters, including multiple class actions, in ways that met all of his clients’ key business and legal objectives. He is also very active in the community and recently served as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
