Julien Fouret practices International Arbitration and Public International Law
He is the Secretary General of the International Academy for Arbitration Law (“Arbitration Academy”) as well as the Editor-in-Chief of the ICC Dispute Resolution Bulletin.
He is a former Counsel at the Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC.
Julien has a wealth of experience in arbitration proceedings having served as counsel or arbitrator notably under the rules of the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, DIAC, CAS/TAS, SCC, PCA, LCIA, CRCICA, CEPANI, DIA or CMAP.
His publications include the critically acclaimed “Provisional and Emergency Measures in International Arbitration” (Edward Elgar, 2023) described as “an invaluable contribution” as well as “The ICSID Convention, Regulations and Rules – A Practical Commentary” (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2019) described as “an impressive piece of scholarship” and “anyone interested in this field will certainly want to add it to their library”.
He teaches international arbitration law in Master programs at the Université Paris-Ouest Nanterre and the Université de Paris-Est Créteil. He is also a guest lecturer at the Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada.
