Joanna is divisional head of our Dispute Resolution team and advises on a wide range of commercial disputes including breach of contract, non-payment, negligence and fraud matters. These are often multi-party disputes with a cross-border element. She has unrivalled experience in group litigation, and regularly advises on high profile international group / class actions.

Joanna has a particular focus on product liability and product safety matters, leading our Chambers UK band 1 ranked product liability team. She advises UK and foreign manufacturers in the pharmaceutical, medical device and food and drink sectors on claims in Scotland, as well as providing advice on liabilities in these areas to a diverse range of clients.

She is qualified as a solicitor in Scotland, England and Hong Kong. Originally training with Clifford Chance in London and Frankfurt, and then working for Hogan Lovells in Hong Kong and London, before returning to Scotland in 2007.
