Career

Robert is a leading adviser to entrepreneurial clients, owner-managed companies, and family businesses. He relishes becoming a “trusted adviser” to many of our clients, helping them generally in relation to their business affairs and strategic matters - both in the UK and overseas.

He has a particular focus on corporate deals, including, mergers, acquisitions, sales, MBOs and fund-raisings, and has led teams in relation to many of Scotland’s highest profile corporate transactions. Many of those deals now have a UK-wide or International theme and, with an in-depth of knowledge of the local commercial and legal markets, Robert is often the go-to person for companies looking to establish, or acquire targets, in the UK.

Robert has also developed a number of tools to help guide business owners through the overlap of business and personal interests; working hand in hand with our private capital lawyers in developing bespoke estate planning and succession strategies.

Robert is a previous winner of Business Insider’s “Emerging Deal-maker of the Year” award.
