She has a particular interest in the health and social care and independent schools sectors, and specialises in advising almshouse charities and other charitable organisations with permanent endowment.

Career

Formerly a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, Joanna started her career as a fund manager, working for a number of years for fund management firms in London and nationally before re-training as a solicitor. Joanna qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and was promoted to partner at Wrigleys Solicitors in 2024.

Trustee of a Leeds based charity which assists young people who are experiencing financial hardship by providing grants to support education and training.
