Practice Areas

With more than 25 years of experience, Jeff Telep is the head of the firm’s Section 337 practice at the U.S. International Trade Commission. He also represents clients in antidumping, countervailing duty, and safeguards investigations at the ITC and U.S. Department of Commerce; Section 232 investigations at the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security; Customs civil penalty investigations, prior disclosures, and seizure and forfeiture matters; Section 301 investigations at the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office; international trade litigation at the U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and U.S. Supreme Court; other commercial litigation and arbitration; and international trade compliance matters. Jeff has represented clients in multiple industries, including semiconductors, telecommunications equipment, RFID devices, smart thermostats, LiDAR devices, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, optical devices, automotive, and other consumer and industrial goods.

Jeff also counsels clients on international trade regulatory matters, including Office of Foreign Assets Control economic sanctions matters, Customs and foreign trade zone issues, and Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering issues.

Mr. Telep is a Past President of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association (2019), the premier association of Section 337 trial lawyers and is the co-chair of the judicial nominations committee of the Customs and International Trade Bar Association.
