Marcio Vasconcellos is a senior associate in the firm’s New York office and a member of the International Arbitration Practice Group. Marcio focuses on commercial and investor-state arbitration.
Marcio represents clients in commercial and investor-state arbitration. He has a particular focus on disputes following mergers and acquisitions, mining, energy, and financial sectors, as well as broad experience in matters involving Latin America and Brazil. Marcio has represented clients under most institutional rules and across a broad spectrum of industries, including oil and gas, electric power, mining, transportation, real estate development, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Vasconcellos was formerly an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pepperdine University School of Law, where he taught International Commercial Arbitration – Theory & Doctrine. He was also a Lecturer in Law at USC-Gould – University of Southern California School of Law, where he taught advanced oral advocacy. Marcio was also the Chair for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – North America Branch.
