Javier focuses his practice on financial litigation, especially on restructuring and insolvency litigation. He is responsible for the insolvency practice. Javier has participated in a wide range of restructurings and insolvencies globally. He has taken part in major insolvency proceedings in Spain, such as Martinsa-Fadesa, Marme Inversiones, Reyal Urbis, Pescanova, Habitat, Mediapro, Nozar, Marsans, Noriega, Alteco-Mag Import or Aifos, participating most actively in those representing financial entities, and in the enforcement of securities and defence of derivative instruments within the context of a pre-insolvency or insolvency.

Javier is also specialised in advising financial entities with regard to enforcement of financial collateral, standstill agreements, debt restructuring, Spanish Schemes and debt restructuring.

He has also wide experience in civil and commercial litigation.
