James Joseph, the co-chair of the firm's Tax practice, advises tax-exempt clients on tax and other operational issues, as well as corporations and high net worth individuals in structuring their charitable, advocacy, and political giving programs. His clients include public charities, medical research organizations, private foundations, universities, advocacy groups, international organizations, and individuals and families. He represents corporations, partnerships, tax-exempt organizations, and individuals in Internal Revenue Service (IRS) audits and proceedings before the IRS Appeals Office. He also works with corporate and tax-exempt clients on governance, compensation, and other tax matters.
