Career
Director of the Environment and Sustainable Development team. His professional practice focuses on environmental law in public and private field and environmental licensing processes advising companies in the infrastructure, energy, oil, mining, and agro-industry sectors. He has relevant experience designing legal strategies for litigation and environmental sanctioning processes, and in the judicial and administrative representation of national and international companies. He led for more than 8 years the group of litigation and environmental sanctioning processes of an important legal firm in Colombia.

Ivan has a Law Degree from Universidad del Rosario (2005). He also has a Postgraduate Degree in Administrative Law (2006), Environmental Law (2007) and is a Master candidate in Administrative Law from the same University.
Work Highlights
Counsel to Holcim (Colombia) S.A. in the judicial process of Reparación Directa, before the Tribunal de Boyacá in regard of the accusations from negative impacts on water resource linked to the occurrence of floods in the lands surrounding the plant. Holcim was acquitted of all accusations.
Counsel to Transmisora Colombiana de Energía S.A.S. E.S.P. in the environmental licensing process of the project "Second network reinforcement in the eastern area: Transmission line La Virginia – Nueva Esperanza 500 KV UPME 07 2016" to obtain the authorization to develop the project.
Counsel to Almacenes Éxito with the legal assessment regarding a soil contamination analysis. These technical results were analyzed in the face of a transaction that required to perform a contractual review and the inclusion of the necessary clauses.
