Ashley specialises in construction and energy dispute resolution, with experience in arbitration, adjudication, litigation, and strategic advisory work involving complex construction and infrastructure disputes. Her practice covers all stages of dispute management, including project advisory, claims strategy, dispute avoidance, adjudication proceedings under CIPAA 2012, domestic and international arbitration, and appellate litigation.
She regularly advises developers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and employers on issues relating to extension of time claims, delay and disruption, liquidated damages, defects, payment disputes, termination, contractual interpretation, and project risk management under PAM, PWD, FIDIC, and bespoke construction contracts.
Ashley is a Partner at Harold & Lam Partnership and forms part of the firm’s Construction and Infrastructure Disputes Practice. She has developed a growing practice in complex construction, infrastructure, and cross-border disputes, acting in high-value arbitration, adjudication, and court proceedings.
She also leads and coordinates matters under the firm’s China Desk, advising Chinese state-owned enterprises, contractors, and cross-border investors in relation to Malaysian construction projects, disputes, and commercial transactions.
