Practice Areas

Henry concentrates his practice in real estate, including the land use permitting and redevelopment process and land use litigation.

He also practices in the area of zoning litigation, including Mount Laurel affordable housing suits. Henry has participated in over 30 declaratory judgment actions under Mount Laurel IV, settling many of these cases, resulting in approvals of over 1,000 affordable housing units throughout New Jersey.

Henry has appeared before more than 200 municipalities and more than 250 land use boards in every county in New Jersey. He successfully secured land use approval for Raritan Town Square, a 500,000-square-foot redevelopment of the Flemington Fairground and Raceway, and over 400 apartments in an inclusionary development in West Windsor.* Henry's clients have included numerous major hotel, restaurant and day care chains, as well as convenience store developers throughout New Jersey.

He has negotiated redevelopment agreements in several municipalities, including Rahway, West Long Branch, Waretown (Ocean Township, Ocean County) and Delanco, and is involved in litigation concerning major redevelopment projects.

Henry has negotiated commercial development agreements and acquisitions and leasing for developers, landowners and leases for both commercial landlords and tenants.

Career

Prior to joining the firm, Henry was a shareholder at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C.
