Georg Rauber headed the Homburger IP/IT practice and continues advising and representing clients in all areas of IP and TMT. Main areas of work include IT related transactions, software distribution, IT and business process outsourcing, general intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyrights), licensing and technology transfer, sports and entertainment, and telecommunications. In all areas: transactional and contentious work.

Admitted to the Bar in 1988. Joined Homburger in 1988 and became Partner in 1996.

2011/2012 President of the Zurich Bar. Since 2016 Member of the Zurich Bar Supervisory Board (department of Zurich High Court). Since 2019 member of the Council, presently Vice President, and from July 2025 President of the Swiss Bar.
