Richard Stäuber is the head of Homburger’s Competition and Regulatory teams. He focuses on Swiss and European competition law. He has extensive experience in all areas of competition law, including cartel and abuse of dominance proceedings; national and international merger control proceedings; dawn raids; and leniency proceedings. He advises clients with respect to distribution systems, co-operation agreements and licensing arrangements.
Richard Stäuber was educated in law at the Universities of Geneva and St. Gallen (lic. iur., 2005; Dr. iur., 2011) and at Harvard Law School (LL.M., 2010), and obtained a degree in economics from King’s College London (MA, 2017). He joined Homburger in 2011 and was promoted to partner in 2020. Between 2012 and 2013 he worked in the Brussels office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
