Fiona co-leads the IP Litigation group at Blakes and is sought after as a strategic first-chair litigator. With extensive experience spanning the life sciences, telecommunications, and technology sectors, Fiona provides expert counsel on IP strategy, patent and Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) proceedings, and regulatory, trademark, and copyright matters. Her practice centers on complex intellectual property disputes, where she has built a strong trial and appellate record leading cases from inception through judgment.

A trusted advisor to some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and technology companies, Fiona has successfully managed multi-jurisdictional patent enforcement actions and played a pivotal role in landmark patent cases — including Canada's first biologics and non-practising entity (NPE) cases and, most recently, a significant win before the Supreme Court of Canada.
