Fernando Holguín is one of Mexico's leading practitioners in international trade, customs, and tax. He serves as the firm lead attorney in these areas for major multinational corporations including Electrolux, TE Connectivity, Foxconn, Amphenol, Fortune Brands, Vistance Networks and Nidec, regularly advising global companies on complex cross-border operations, nearshoring projects, and supply chain strategies in Mexico.

His practice encompasses customs compliance, IMMEX and shelter programs, rules of origin, customs valuation, tariff classification, trade compliance, and the tax implications of international business operations. He is particularly recognized for the design, implementation, and expansion of manufacturing platforms in Mexico, including the development of customs and tax-efficient operating structures, regulatory compliance programs, and cross-border logistics strategies.
