Pablo Méndez Alvídrez

Pablo Méndez joined the firm in October 2004 and became a partner in March 2010. In 2007, he opened the Mining Area of the firm and has been its Director since. In 2017, he was appointed Managing Director of the Chihuahua office.

From 2002 to 2004, he worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Consulate of Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S and currently serves as Secretary of the Economic Development Council of Chihuahua (since 2010) and of the Mining Cluster Council of Chihuahua (since 2014). He is also an active member of the Mexican Association of In-House Lawyers (ANADE)."

His areas of expertise are Mining and Corporate/M&A, as well as Civil, Commercial, and Banking Litigation. He is recognised for his deep expertise and specialization in the Mexican mining market specially in the mining sector, and he is valued by clients for understanding the demands of multinational companies and providing prompt, effective responses due to his specialisation in the Mexican legal market.

Pablo holds a Law Degree with Honorable Mention from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Chihuahua, complemented with courses on International and Immigration Law at the University of New Mexico (2003–2004). In addition, he completed the Master’s Degree Programa D1 at IPADE Business School (2011–2012), strengthening his strategic and managerial skills.
