She specialised in Digital Law and Personal Data Protection. Currently, she works (i) supporting clients on complex consulting, administrative and regulatory matters, including data breaches and communication to the Authority; (ii) in LGPD compliance programs, providing full legal advice on how companies can align their activities with the LGPD’s requirements; and (iii) in technology and privacy litigation, supporting big tech companies and startups on strategic litigation (mainly Class Actions) on matters involving Technology, Privacy, Data Protection, Innovation and Consumer Laws.
Career
Before joining BFBM, she worked at Pereira Neto Advogados (PNM), providing legal advice to clients on data protection and technology issues. Before working at PNM, Fernanda was a Legal Researcher at the Centre for Global Trade and Investments Studies (CCGI), a branch of the School of Economics of the FGV-EESP and part of the WTO Chair Program. There, she provided regulatory analysis to foreign policymakers on digital law and data protection, so that they would better understand the regulatory framework when dealing with Brazilian governments.
Experience
Education: She holds an LL.B. (2017) from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), which included an exchange program to the University of Coimbra in 2016. She also holds an LL.M (2020) in Law and Development from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/SP). She is a postgraduate student in Civil Procedure (2022) at the Instituto de Direito Público (IDP).
